Baconnaise – What’s next?
February 26th, 2009I first heard about Baconnaise a few months back. When I read about it, my mouth started to water and my heart started to palpitate. I love ridiculous food as much as the next guy, but I’m thinking this may be a little much. Sometimes I wish that I had the job of Guy Fieri (he’s the guy on the Food Network who goes to different diners all over the country). I used to dream of a day when I could get chimichangas at a drive-thru restaurant. Even that day has come, with Hardee’s (Carls Jr’s.) adding chimichangas to their menu!
If you check out the Baconnaise website and read some of the reviews of Baconnaise, it is pretty evident that no one really seems to worried about the obesity epidemic plaguing our country. The following reviews are directly from the Baconnaise website:
“The blending of mayonnaise and bacon was brilliant. Eating this product straight out of the jar as a meal would not be far-fetched.”
- Mad Meat Genius
“This makes me want to cry sweet bacony tears of joy.”
- Because Emily Says So Blog
“When the Baconnaise hit my taste buds, I’m pretty sure the Earth moved and angels sang.”
- I Was Told There Would Be Bacon Blog
Eating it out of the jar is not too far-fetched if someone is paying you to do so. If I’m wrong about this, I think we have much bigger problems…
Unfortunately(?), here in Costa Rica, I have been unable to locate Baconnaise and I would recommend that someone start importing this stuff. Ticos will put mayo on almost anything. I can’t wait until I can mix ketchup and Baconnaise to eat with my fries, which, with bacon, now becomes a fully legit meal.
I’m interested in how this stuff actually tastes, so if you’ve tried it, please let me know!
I’m looking for investors to start my new bacon-infused product company. So, is anyone interested in some bacologne?
